Ben and Jerry #3: Chocolate Macadamia...

Chocolate Macadamia: Chocolate and Vanilla ice creams with Fudge covered Macadamia nuts...  That one was pretty good, but not my favorite.  I shared it with my two good friends, Scotty Potty and Toasty... aka Josh.  I've known them since EFY in 2004... we were all in the same group, along with Whitey... aka Kendra.  However, she is on a mission in New York at the moment so she couldn't share in the fun.  Don't worry Kenny... we will all four of us eat a Ben and Jerry's when you get back this summer!  Woohoo!!

Ben and Jerry #2: S'mores

After the marshmallow overload from Phish Food, I was a little worried about this choice.  However, Cassie and Chloe made a good decision!!  S'mores was so good.  We shared it on a night that I was babysitting when Caden went to the movies with his friends... so we decided to have a girls' night!  This one has: Chocolate Ice Cream with Fudge Chunks, Toasted Marshmallow, and a Graham Cracker Swirl... I love the swirl...

Ben and Jerry #1: Phish Food

So, I decided to make a rule with myself in trying the Ben and Jerry's... to help myself not eat all of it, I would share a flavor with someone else.  For now, I'm going to try to share it with someone different each time, and let them pick the flavor.
The very first flavor of ice cream I chose to share with my sister, Annie.  She picked Phish Food.  It is Ann's favorite, but I gave it 3 stars, becuase I thought that there was too much marshmallow in it and not enough of ice cream and other stuff!  Maybe we just picked a container that happened to have a lot... so maybe it's not a fair representation of the flavor.

Julia Child's French Omelette

I know this doesn't belong to anything in particular, but I thought it kinda went with this blog anyway.  The other day, my mom and I were watching original videos on youtube of Julia Child's cooking show and one of them that was really great was where she was making an omelette.  She says "How about dinner in half a minute?  How about a last minute dinner party, for 300 people?  How about and omelette?"  And it's true... I think it's the fastest way to cook an egg.  She finished the omelette in about the same amount of time it took her to say that.  Watch this video I have attached.  It's really good.  So, I tried to make her omelette one morning, and voila!  It worked perfectly.  And, it was SO delicious.  And it was super fun to make because it made me feel like some kind of real cook or something, with the egg getting swirled all around your pan and stuff.  Really.  Try it.  And, you should eat it with some pancakes that I just discovered.  I think my Uncle Aaron made up the recipe.  I wrote more about it in my other blog.  I'll leave a link to that, too.  What a great breakfast that would be, with some toast or bacon on the side and a tall glass of OJ!

Roald Dahl

Boy, I sure am lucky!!  Guess what... September is Roald Dahl month!  (according to his website)  So, it would only be fitting for me to do the Roald Dahl children's book challenge this month.
Roald Dahl is my favorite children's author, and I read many of his books when I was younger.  I still own some of them... I'll have to track them down and re-read them soon!

Here is a list of what I'll be reading this month: (remember, these are only his children's books)

The Gremlins (1943)
James and the Giant Peach (1961)
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (1964)

The Minpins (1991)

Children's Poetry:

Rhyme Stew (1989)

Seven of these books have been made into movies: Matilda, The BFG, The Witches, Danny the Champion of the World, Fantastic Mr. Fox, James and the Giant Peach, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (x2).  If I have time, maybe I'll check these out too after I've read the matching book.

More about Roald Dahl to come.

Projects I've Already Completed

I was thinking about stuff I've already done, and I here is the list I came up with:

-I listened to all 32 Beethoven Sonatas
-I took all the classes necessary for a Bachelor's degree and graduated (does that count?)
-I took every class you can take at BYU-Idaho as a pianist (except for Jazz Band)
-I read all 7 Harry Potter books

I'll update this later if I think of any more.
